Website FAQs

Clear answers so you know exactly what you are investing in

Website design

Website design

Do I need branding before we start my website?

Yes. Branding comes first.

A high-performing website needs a strong brand foundation. Your positioning, message, visual identity, and voice guide every design decision. Without that clarity in place, your website will not convert the way you want it to.

If you already have professionally designed branding, great. If not, we will guide you through the Signature Brand Design experience or a refinement so your website starts strong and stays consistent.

How do I know if I need a custom website or a template?

If you want a strategic, high-impact website that is built around your goals, message, and client journey, you will want a custom site.

If you are earlier in business or prefer a smaller investment, a Showit template that we help you customize may be the better fit.

Start with an inquiry and we will help you choose the best path for where you are right now.

Can you redesign my existing website?

We do not offer quick fixes or partial edits to existing sites.

We build custom Showit websites from the ground up so your site aligns with your branding, supports your message, and is built to grow with you.

Copywriting & SEO

Copywriting & SEO

Do you provide website copywriting?

Do you provide website copywriting?

Copywriting is not automatically included in every website package, but you can add it on.

You will need full website copy before design begins so we can build every page around a clear message and call to action.

If writing is not in your zone of genius, we offer optional copywriting support. We will interview you, gather details about your offers and clients, and write clear, compelling copy that sounds like you and sells for you. Most clients choose this option because it makes the project smoother and the final site stronger.

Can I write the copy myself?

Can I write the copy myself?

Yes. If you love writing or already have strong copy, you can absolutely bring your own words.

Many clients use tools like ChatGPT to get a rough first draft on the page, then refine it so it sounds like them. If you go that route, we will share a prep guide with page-by-page prompts and best practices so your copy supports the strategy, SEO, and design, not just fills space.

If you begin writing and decide you want more support, we can add copywriting before design starts so your message is clear, cohesive, and conversion-focused.

Do I need to provide meta descriptions too?

Yes. Meta descriptions help search engines understand your pages and encourage people to click through.

If we' re writing your website copy, we will include meta descriptions.
If you are writing your own, we will give you simple guidelines so they support your SEO and stay aligned with your brand voice.

Process and timeline

How long does a custom website take?

What’s included in a custom website?

Most custom websites take eight to twelve weeks from start to launch.

Timeline depends on page count, complexity, and how quickly your content is delivered. This window includes strategy, design, revisions, development, testing, and launch.

Do you charge for proposals?

Yes.

Every proposal we create is fully custom and requires strategy, scoping, and a clear plan for your site. The five hundred dollar proposal deposit ensures we are able to put focused time into your website strategy and that you are serious about moving forward.

If you choose to book your website, the deposit is applied to your project total.
This keeps the process professional and allows us to give your proposal the level of strategy and attention it deserves, even before any design work begins.

What do I need to provide before we start?

You will need:

• Final branding files (logos, fonts, and color codes)
• Final website copy
• Final images
• Domain access and logins
• Details for any tools you want connected, such as email marketing, booking systems, or contact forms

The more prepared you are, the smoother the process will be.

What does your website process look like?

Our process is clear and guided from start to finish.

• Strategy call and project kickoff
• Site map and page flow
• Content and copy collection
• Homepage design
• Interior page design
• Revisions
• Development and buildout in Showit
• Testing and pre-launch review
• Launch
• Training and post-launch support

Do I need to provide my own images?

Do I need to provide my own images?

Yes. All imagery should be provided before we begin design. Photos must be high-resolution, professionally shot, and aligned with your brand’s tone and style.

We highly recommend using lifestyle or brand photography instead of stock wherever possible—it makes a big difference in how polished and cohesive your site looks and feels.

What if I don’t have professional photos yet?

What if I don’t have professional photos yet?

That’s totally fine — we’ll provide a shot list and styling tips to help you plan your shoot and get the visuals you need. You don’t have to hire a high-end photographer (unless you want to). The goal is to have clear, on-brand images that elevate your site and reflect your business in the best light.

What’s the timeline for a custom website?

What’s the timeline for a custom website?

Most custom websites take 8–12 weeks — but that clock doesn’t start until we’ve received everything we need from you, including final copy, brand files, and images.

Once we’re fully prepped, we’ll kick off the design phase and follow the timeline outlined in your proposal. If your project includes custom features or advanced integrations, we’ll account for that in your schedule.

Delays most often happen when content or assets are missing — so the more organized you are upfront, the smoother everything goes on our end.

What’s the investment for a custom website?

What’s the investment for a custom website?

Custom websites start at ten thousand five hundred dollars.

Pricing increases based on page count, features, and complexity. All details are outlined in your proposal once we understand your goals and scope.

Why is a custom website a bigger investment than a template?

A custom website is not a pretty layout. It is a business asset. You are investing in:

• Strategy and user experience
• Conversion-focused layout and page flow
• SEO-friendly foundations
• A fully custom design that elevates your brand
• Professional development and testing
• A site that works for you every single day

Templates give you structure.
A custom website is designed to deliver long-term results.

Do you offer payment plans?

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes.

 A common structure is:
 • 50 percent to reserve your project
 • 25 percent at midpoint
 • 25 percent at launch

If you need a different structure, we can talk through options during the proposal phase.

What kind of support do you offer after launch?

You will receive:
• A personalized launch video
• Website training
• Seven days of post-launch support for small updates and questions

If you want ongoing support, we offer:
• Monthly care plans
• Seasonal updates
• Retainer options for recurring work
• Add-on pages or content updates as your business grows

Your website should evolve with your business. We are here to support that growth.
